Me and my partner knew this place would be heaving on the night so decided to get there a little earlier. We were told we could sit and enjoy a beer as they couldn’t serve food but it would guarantee us a table – which we happily obliged to and before we knew it, the place was packed and we could order first! We opted for the Meze where we were presented with the local delicacies by the plates! It was all amazing but very VERY filling between the two of us. The staff were extra friendly and looked after us well – if you’re out in the harbour, try some local food by visiting here. You’ll be well looked after and the food will make you want to visit again.

Every was outstanding from the moment we enter. The menu, so many choices, the ambience , nice and private.. The service superb.. The food was excellent… We highly reccomend it..

This is not a taverna in traditional sense, although you can find a version of meze. The main idea behind it is freely conceived, well cooked local dishes. No funny fusion cuisine. Just a modernized imaginative version of home cooking and well done at that. Ambience, service, wine list up with the top. Well done.

Came here with two Cypriot colleagues and as this is my 16th visit to Cyprus fair to say I have been to many a taverna and this place is at the very top end. Be it the village salad, the lamb chops, the seafood, the chicken kebabs, soufalake, everything was perfect and was without fault. Staff were friendly, professional and service was quick. Portions are generous in size so come with an appetite the food really is excellent. Would be equally suitable for a big group event as a couples dinner. No it’s not the cheapest but it’s worth every euro you will not be disappointed.

We visited this restaurant with our children and without doubt we enjoyed the best mezze we’ve had in Cyprus. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, which only add to the whole experience. The food is simply faultless. If you only visit one restaurant in Paphos it has to be this one.

Gudomliga förätter,lax med avokado,hallomi,sem kleftiko och park mycket gott. Vi är två gorme ätare,mat för oss är mycket viktigt,reser över hela världen.Detta är ett av dom bästa ställen vi ätit på.

Excellent menu range, food top quality and service very prompt and friendly. Had mousaka, meze, lamb, fish all different nights and all very nice.

Had lunch here earlier in the week and enjoyed the friendly welcome. The evening meal was superb. Suckling pig completely delightful. Good service and altogether good experience. Not the cheapest but well worth it.

Quality of the food here is amazing. The portion size is large and good value for money but it doesn’t detract from the quality of the produce they use. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. I’d say this has to be one of the best restaurants around.

Every trip to Pafos MUST include a trip to the fabulous Gourmet Taverna. We come every year and this year we brought my parents; when making a booking we saw the owner Nikos who is also the Head Chef and his father Charles, both are really lovely friendly people. We made two bookings over our stay. The food speaks for itself, a mixture of traditional and modern food served to perfection, the team of chefs take a lot of time to make sure every dish is tasty. We had a mixture of dishes, the Lamb Kleftiko is amazing as is the Suckling pig, my wife loves the kind prawns and I love the chicken and Filet steak dishes. The service is exceptional, Martin and Savos look after us well, we have know Martin for many years and he continues to serve us with a smile and with professionalism. Thank you Nikos and team

Yet again we cannot fault the Gourmet Tavern. We ate here quite a few times during our two week stay and every meal (lunch or dinner) was delicious. Very friendly family run business where service is second to none even when they are very busy. Can’t wait to visit again in November
